Role Overview
- We are looking for a Performance Marketing Intern (Google Ads) to join our growing Performance Marketing team. This role is ideal for candidates who have foundational exposure to paid advertising and are looking to deepen their hands-on experience by working on live Google Ads campaigns.
- You will work closely with experienced performance marketers and support campaign execution, optimisation, analysis, and reporting across multiple client accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Execution & Support
- Assist in setting up and managing Google Ads campaigns including Search, Display, YouTube, and Performance Max.
- Support keyword research, campaign structuring, and audience targeting.
- Assist in writing, testing, and optimising ad copies and extensions.
Performance Monitoring & Optimisation
- Monitor key performance metrics such as impressions, CTR, CPC, CPA, ROAS, and conversions.
- Support bid optimisation, budget pacing, and keyword refinement.
- Identify underperforming ads, keywords, and placements and suggest improvements.
- Assist in A/B testing of ad creatives and messaging.
Analytics & Reporting
- Support conversion tracking setup and validation.
- Assist in analysing campaign data using Google Ads and Google Analytics (GA4).
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports.
- Support internal performance reviews and optimisation discussions.
Research & Continuous Learning
- Conduct competitor analysis and market research.
- Stay updated with Google Ads policy updates, new features, and best practices.
- Document campaign insights and learnings.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Basic understanding of performance marketing and paid advertising concepts.
- Prior internship or hands-on exposure to paid ads or digital marketing campaigns.
- Familiarity with Google Ads platform and its core functionalities.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Good communication and documentation abilities.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced agency environment.
Added Advantage
- Previous internship experience specifically in Google Ads / Paid Advertising.
- Google Ads certification (Search / Display / Video).
- Working knowledge of Google Analytics (GA4).
- Basic understanding of conversion tracking, tags, and pixels.
- Experience using MS Excel / Google Sheets for data analysis.
